Acronis Launches Disk Director 12, Bringing Data Manipulation and Disk Management to the Next Level

Woburn, MA - May 27, 2014 -- Acronis, the global leader in new generation data protection, today announced the release of Acronis Disk Director 12, the latest version of its leading disk management and data manipulation product. Acronis Disk Director is a key product in the Acronis family of advanced industry-leading data management and backup solutions, and leverages technical advances powered by the Acronis AnyData Engine.

Acronis Disk Director 12 is the latest in the long evolution of the company's Disk Director family and reflects Acronis' continued commitment to powering the new generation of data protection technology. It provides a host of features to help computer users organize their hard drives for superior performance and protects and secures users' data via multiple volumes on a single drive. The Acronis AnyData Engine ensures that users have the greatest confidence, flexibility and access to their data, regardless of which Windows version is in use.

"Since it first hit the market 13 years ago, Acronis Disk Director has been a leading disk management tool and has remained a must-have for technical users who want the most complete disk partitioning and data manipulation solution available," said Nat Maple, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Global Consumer Business, Acronis. "But data protection needs have evolved dramatically over the last decade. With most computers now shipping with one large single partition hard drive, the most basic form of data protection available is to create different logical partitions for the operating system and your personal data, protecting your data in the case of an issue or infection of the operating system. With a deep technological investment, Acronis Disk Director 12 has evolved to meet today's market needs and operating system demands. With it, users can confidently manage their hard drives without the risk of data loss and can be assured that they have the most complete disk management and data manipulation solution on the market today."

Acronis Disk Director 12's core library support was developed by Acronis Labs, the company's $10 million high-tech R&D center launched by Acronis CEO Serg Bell in 2013 and dedicated to producing New Generation Data Protection technologies. Users are armed with a complete and sophisticated set of tools to manage their information easily and safely, with the ability to partition, format, manipulate, clone, install, share, convert, boot, span, merge, split, resize, copy and move data or disk partitions without losing anything. This enables users to securely divide their hard disk drive into multiple partitions to maximize device usage efficiency.
