software, has won the "Deal or No Deal" challenge at Storage Expo
UK 2007 with the latest release of its flagship enterprise
backup and recovery product, Acronis True Image Echo.
The "Deal or No Deal" challenge is a public
forum for those companies that believe their product is the best in
the market. Acronis beat six other companies - Gresham Computing,
Neverfail, Pillar solutions, Promise, Quantum, and Quest
Software.
Each company had just three minutes to pitch
their product to a panel of experts, buyers and analysts in the
market. The panel consisted of:
- Ray Stanton, Global Head of Business Continuity, Security and Governance, BT
- David Lipsey, IS services and Infrastructure Manager, Ordnance Survey
- Tony Lock, Programme Director, Freeform Dynamics
- Chris Smart, Partner, Acacia Capital Partners
