Best Buy's Geek Squad Adds Acronis True Image, Acronis Disk Director Suite, To Its Repair Toolbox

February 28, 2007, Singapore — Acronis (www.acronis.com/ja-jp/), the technological leader in storage management software, announced that The Geek Squad®, an operation of Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY), will now include Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director Suite as part of its toolkit to repair and maintain its customers' computer systems. The Geek Squad is a 24-hour computer support task force that assists users in their homes and offices.

Acronis True Image is disaster recovery and backup software that allows users to create an exact duplicate image of their disk drive. Should the drive become damaged, the operating system corrupt or files accidentally deleted or overwritten, the image of the hard disk can be used to restore the disk to its known, good working state. Acronis Disk Director Suite includes disk partitioning, multibooting and partition recovery tools.

"Being certified by the Geek Squad underscores Acronis' efforts to make the very best software that absolutely everyone can use," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "Acronis True Image is certainly proven to be the best at what it does. This recognition by the Geek Squad means that not only is it strong enough for the most industrial-strength disaster recovery requirements, but it's easy enough to use for any of Best Buy's customers."

Users who want to purchase Acronis True Image from Best Buy can do so only from the Geek Squad; the product is not currently available on Best Buy's retail shelves.
