November 29, 2007, Singapore - Acronis
(www.acronis.com/zh-tw/), a provider of
affordable, scalable storage management and disaster recovery software,
announced that Klegg Electronics (www.klegg.com; Pink
Sheets: KLGG) has begun shipping Acronis True Image Home OEM
Version disaster recovery software with its Klegg NetDisk network
storage devices.
Klegg NetDisk connects to the user's system
using Ethernet or via a USB connection. Like Acronis True Image
Home, it is designed for non-technical consumers and small business
users.
Acronis True Image allows users to back up their
entire computers by creating an image archive of their data,
operating system and applications. Should a system crash occur, a
user need only to put the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media CD into the
computer and initiate restoration of an image archive from the
Klegg NetDisk. The restore process can be completed in a matter of
minutes, not hours or days.
"Klegg NetDisk and Acronis True Image are a
one-two punch of hardware and software that protects our customers'
irreplaceable information," said Dennis Gentles, CEO of Klegg
Electronics. "Combining our external storage with Acronis True
Image allows users to create complete backups of their personal
computers easily and affordably."
"Users today are putting more irreplaceable data
on their computers than ever before," said Walter Scott, CEO of
Acronis. "When you consider the amount of music, digital photos,
videos and data that ordinary users are creating every day, you can
understand why data protection has gone from a nice-to-have
application to a must-have program. We are excited to extend this
protection to customers who purchase Klegg NetDisk and provide them
with the reassurance that their memories and business information
will always be available."
The Klegg NetDisk and Acronis True Image
hardware/software combination is sold in the U.S. in retail
locations including OfficeMax, Buy.com and Amazon.com.
