Acronis True Image for Windows

Installation procedure

The installation procedure is straightforward. Please run the downloaded executable file and follow the instructions.

Fixed issues

  • Issues related to the updates download process through the insecure channel were fixed. In addition to verifying the server-provided MD5 hash, Acronis digital signature validation was added. For more information read here: https://go.acronis.com/personal/security-update-release.

System requirements

Operating systems:

  • Windows XP SP3 32-bit * New features have limited support in Windows XP.
  • Windows Home Server
  • Windows 7 SP1 (all editions)
  • Windows 8 (all editions)
  • Windows 8.1 (all editions)
  • Windows 10
  • Windows 10 Creators Update

It is possible for the software to work on other Windows operating systems, but it is not guaranteed.

File systems:

  • FAT16/32
  • NTFS
  • Ext2/Ext3/Ext4 * The Ext2/Ext3/Ext4, ReiserFS, and Linux SWAP file systems are supported only for disk or partition backup/recovery operations.
  • ReiserFS * The Ext2/Ext3/Ext4, ReiserFS, and Linux SWAP file systems are supported only for disk or partition backup/recovery operations.
  • Linux SWAP * The Ext2/Ext3/Ext4, ReiserFS, and Linux SWAP file systems are supported only for disk or partition backup/recovery operations.

Acronis True Image for Mac

Installation procedure

The installation procedure is straightforward. Please launch the .dmg file, and then drag the Acronis True Image icon to the Applications folder.

What’s new?

  • Timing of the product notifications has been coordinated.
  • An option to limit the upload speed when you back up data to Acronis Cloud.
  • Different issue fixes, increased stability, and performance improvements.

Fixed issues

This release includes the following issue fixes, increased stability, and performance improvements:

  • On a computer with Fusion Drive, a bootable media creation fails when Recovery HD is placed on a Boot OS X volume
  • The Help menu is not available with bootable media
  • There is a long delay when switching between backups in the list
  • When starting a backup to Acronis Cloud, the backup hangs with message "Retrieving information"
  • Archiving of files located on an external drive or a network share does not work correctly
