Drive Cleanser 6.0, a disk wiping and security
application, now supports Microsoft Vista.

support means that now users of virtually all versions of the

The program supports multiple data destruction
algorithms, which define how and how many times data is
overwritten. They include several national data destruction
standards:
- American: DoD 5220.22-M
- American: NAVSO P-5239-26 (RLL)
- American: NAVSO P-5239-26 (MFM)
- German: VSITR
- Russian: Russian Standard, GOST P50739-95
Two additional, more powerful, pre-defined
algorithms are included. They were developed by top information
security experts Peter Gutmann and Bruce Schneier. In addition, the
program makes it possible for IT managers to create their own
data-wiping algorithms.
Acronis Disk Cleanser is available directly from
the Acronis Web site and from selected resellers. Suggested list
