Cathay Pacific Holidays Selects Acronis True Image Enterprise Server

March 28, 2006, Burlington, MA - Acronis (http://www.acronis.com.sg), the technological leader in storage management software, announced that Cathay Pacific Holidays of Hong Kong has selected Acronis True Image Enterprise Server as its corporate IT disaster recovery solution. Cathay Pacific Holidays, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways, provides a wide range of tailor-made packages to the free and independent travelers.

"Cathay Pacific Holidays' customers expect us to always go the extra mile in providing them with the best service and the best products available anywhere," said Gemini Wong, IT manager for Cathay Pacific Holidays. "Our servers simply cannot be down. We have too many people depending on us to make sure their holidays are enjoyable, and too many partners that depend on us to ensure that their guests have a pleasant experience."

"Besides zero downtime, a much shorter backup cycle, and lower total cost of ownership, the use of Acronis True Image Enterprise Server at Cathay Pacific Holidays has also enabled the IT team to provide a higher level of service to their end-user colleagues."

"We are extremely pleased with the benefits from the Acronis solution; Cathay Pacific Holidays now plans to expand its deployment to every one of its new servers," said Mr. Wong.

"We know that not all customers are the same," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "In the case of Cathay Pacific Holidays, our customer isn't only the corporate IT department at this international travel company, it's all the people they serve worldwide who depend on their computers systems being up and running and their data being accessible. Acronis is proud to play a part in this company's fine traditions."

"Customers worldwide are finding that Acronis True Image Enterprise Server is the ideal solution for backup and disaster recovery," said Laurent Dedenis, Managing Director of Singapore-based Acronis Asia. "One critical need of the company was that whatever solution it selected must operate 24/7/365 and allow the company to recover from an emergency in minutes, not hours or days."

"Not only did Acronis meet this requirement, but it also eliminated the need for the Cathay Pacific Holidays to spend additional funds on special-purpose hardware that otherwise would not be required", he added.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
