Acronis Tackles Virtualization

Speaking on "Avoiding Virtualization Gotchas!" at Microsoft Tech-Ed and IDC Virtualization Forum 2.0 in June

May 21, 2007, Singapore - Acronis Inc. (www.acronis.com/en-sg/), a technological leader in storage management software, explores ways to assist companies in overcoming potential pitfalls in virtualization when it addresses two major industry conferences this month.

According to IDC, 40 percent of all servers will be virtualized by 2010. Many businesses are looking for better ways to manage and protect their physical and virtual assets. Vice President of Marketing Ed Harnish, will cover key considerations for this IT conundrum at Microsoft Tech-Ed on June 4-8 (booth #709) in Orlando, FL, and the IDC Virtualization Forum 2.0 on June 19 in San Francisco, CA.

"In coming years, it will be critical for IT departments large and small to get a handle on the management - including backup, recovery and migration - of their servers, especially as many will be faced with both the physical and the virtual varieties," said Harnish. "Businesses need to consider what to think about now, as they deploy both, and how to plan for the future."
