Acronis Backup to Cloud

Fast, Simple, Flexible & Complete Offsite Disaster Recovery Backup

Acronis Overview

Are you doing everything you can to protect your information? While local backup and recovery software offers critical protection against a mistakenly deleted file or from a server or workstation crash, it can’t protect against fire, flood or theft. To survive those onslaughts means investing in a redundant offsite strategy in addition to local backup.

Fortunately, there’s a better service from the leader in local and cloud disaster recovery. This subscription service, when used in conjunction with Acronis Backup product family or Acronis Backup Advanced suite, offers the benefits of a dedicated remote datacenter providing backup redundancy without the high price tag.

Features

Local and Cloud backup in one Solution

If you already work with Acronis Backup for local backup of your physical and virtual machines, adding Acronis Backup to Cloud is a snap because the two solutions are completely integrated. One console seamlessly manages all of your backup and recovery efforts regardless of the data’s actual location.

Anydata Technology

Unlike most cloud backup vendors, Acronis offers bare-metal recovery from the cloud. You can recover an entire machine to the same or dissimilar hardware, or recover individual files from the same image backup. You can also create file-level backups if you wish.

Acronis supports Windows and Linux operating systems with agentless backups for VMware vSphere and Hyper-V environments, with an unlimited number of VMs, backup both physical and virtual environments.

Easiest to Use

Acronis has spent 15 years developing a simple intuitive user interface for our consumer products. To ensure that our business customers have access to the same benefits, we’ve leveraged this expertise to make the Acronis Backup family of products a breeze to use.

Top Reasons
to Use Cloud Backup

Security

Acronis Cloud Storage is based on our own continuous Software-Defined Storage platform development, which ensures reliability, scalability and cost-efficiency for customers.

Backup encryption

High-level data privacy is critical to businesses, and Acronis takes privacy to the maximum level. Government-approved AES-256 Encryption is a standard feature of Acronis Backup to Cloud. Each customer has the option (and is strongly encouraged) to create a unique private password which ensures that only the user can access their business’ information.

Redundant Power and Networks

Datacenters are equipped with UPS and backup diesel-generators and are designed to ensure constant power availability for up to 48 hours to sustain an undefined power outage. In addition, there are redundant HVAC, network and UPS.

Availability

Backup data is split between multiple servers similar to RAID with additional Reed–Solomon error correction.

Data Transfer Security

Customers are identified by username (e-mail address) and a password. Authentication information is sent securely over 2048 bit SSL.

Fire Detection and Suppression

The datacenters' technological rooms are equipped with VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) Air Sampling and Dual Zone Pre-Action (Dry Pipe). There is also temperature and humidity monitoring.

Onsite Monitoring and Security

Physical security is ensured via high fences, 24x7 security personnel, and video surveillance with 90-day archiving. Biometric hand-geometry scan and proximity key card are required for access.

Extra Services

Initial Seeding

Acronis offers an additional Initial Seeding service for large amounts of data. We upload data from the customer’s hard drive as a first full image backup, directly at our datacenter, and simplify future backups using forever incrementals.

Express disaster recovery

Large Scale Recovery allows the customer to obtain their backup faster than they are able to restore over their network connection.

Test your bandwidth

  • If your backup is expected to take longer than 48 hours, consider using the Initial Seeding service. Send your backup to our datacenter on a portable drive using carrier delivery.
  • If the expected recovery exceeding 48 hours, consider using the Large Scale Recovery service. The datacenter sends you a hard drive with the cloud backup using carrier delivery.
