Designating Files for Sending

Files Designation for Sending on the MassTransit Server

There are a few ways to designate files for transmission on the MassTransit Server:

  1. Place the files in the To Send folder of the contact's mailbox:
    1. Using Windows Explorer, browse the mailbox folder of the contact you want to send files to. By default, the mailbox is located in:
    2. for MassTransit HP 7.0:
      • on 32-bit machines: C:\Program Files\Group Logic\MassTransit Server 7\User Mailboxes
      • on 64-bit machines: C:\Program Files (x86)\Group Logic\MassTransit Server 7\User Mailboxes
    3. for MassTransit HP 7.1 to 7.6:
      • on 32-bit machines: C:\Program Files\Group Logic\MassTransit Server\User Mailboxes
      • on 64-bit machines: C:\Program Files (x86)\Group Logic\MassTransit Server\User Mailboxes
    4. for MassTransit HP 7.6 and newer:
      • on 64-bit machines: C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\MassTransit Server\User Mailboxes
    5. Open the To Send folder of the contact's mailbox and place the files for sending in it.
  2. Drag and drop the file(s) for sending to the contact in the Contacts window:

Note: This option is available on MassTransit HP servers only.

    1. Open the Contacts window of the MassTransit Administrator application.
    2. Select the files you want to transmit and drag them to the desired contact in the Contacts window.

    1. Drop the files - doing so should display the number of designated files for sending in the To Send column of the Contacts window.

    1. Add files to the Files window - by browsing or by drag and drop. Find more information about the Files window and its options in the Files Window section.

Note: This option is available on MassTransit HP servers only.

Blacklisting certain file types

In MassTransit 7.6 or newer, you have the option to ignore certain file types when sending files.

  1. Navigate to and open the MassTransit configuration file (by default found in: \Program Files (x86)\Group Logic\MassTransit Server\MassTransit.cfg).
  2. Find the line IGNORE_FILE_TYPES_FOR_SENDING = .DS_Store
  3. Make sure that it is enabled (delete the %% symbols at the start of the line if they are present).
  4. Enter all your desired file types after the equals (=) sign, separated by semicolons. e.g. IGNORE_FILE_TYPES_FOR_SENDING = .exe; .txt; .tmp
  5. Save the file.
  6. All of the files that are of the type you specified will not be picked up when sending.
