Acronis presents on disaster Recovery Prioritization at AFCOM Data Center World

BURLINGTON, Mass., March 20, 2008 - Acronis, Inc. (www.acronis.com/en-us/), a provider of affordable, scalable storage management and disaster recovery software, today announced that Robert Thaler, the company's senior director of marketing communications, will speak at the upcoming AFCOM Data Center World conference in Las Vegas, NV on Tuesday, April 1, 2008.

His presentation, "Recovery Prioritization – Don't Lose IT!," will address the importance of the recovery of data when building an effective disaster recovery plan. Whereas backup takes place when everything is working, after a disaster, it is the recovery that matters the most. This session will discuss data integrity in relation to snapshot technology and the value of being able to perform a bare-metal restore to totally separate, dissimilar hardware.

"Whether you choose a continuous data protection solution for your transactional database, a file-based system for your Web servers, or an image-based solution for your critical servers, it is all about recovering quickly, efficiently, and with the least amount of disruption," said Thaler. "In the world of business where minutes are measured in millions of dollars, the ability to get up and running after an interruption is vital to any business continuity plan."
