
In its recent Emotional Footprint Report, Info-Tech Research Group named Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud as a Champion in the extended detection and response (XDR) market. The recognition, based on customer experiences, demonstrates the commitment Acronis shows to providing superior service to managed service providers (MSPs) and end users.
Info-Tech develops Emotional Footprint Reports “to help prospective purchasers make better decisions by leveraging the experiences of real users,” according the report. The firm takes its data from verified end-user reviews and then synthesizes it into charts and graphs in a variety of categories. The emphasis of the report is on user experience, including support and vendor interaction, with each product rather than strictly on functionality.
How the Emotional Footprint Report works
The Emotional Footprint Report breaks reviews down into two scores: the Value Index, which measures how satisfied users are with a product given the price they paid for it, and Net Emotional Footprint, which aggregates responses to 25 questions to indicate overall user feeling about a product.
The firm combines both scores and uses them to rank vendors in a technology market, such as XDR. For each market, Info-Tech develops a diamond that places vendors in four categories: Relationship Builders, Contenders, Value Players and Champions. Info-Tech named Acronis a Champion in the May 2025 XDR report. The firm had previously named Acronis a Champion in Backup and Availability as well as in Endpoint Protection.

Info-Tech determines sentiment by asking reviewers to put vendors on one side of a positive-negative dichotomy. Acronis ranked first out of 12 vendors and collected 100% positive reviews in:
