New Mexico Software Integrates Acronis True Image; Offers Full Disaster Recovery Solution and Search Engine

September 27, 2007, Burlington, MA - Acronis, Inc. (www.acronis.com/en-us/), a provider of affordable, scalable storage management and disaster recovery software, and New Mexico Software (OTC Bulletin Board: NMXC) announce the beta release of TORC, a software appliance and web service backup solution with an integrated search engine that uses Acronis True Image as the heart of its disaster recovery capabilities.

TORC, developed by New Mexico Software, enables the installation, scheduling, storage, retrieval, and restoration of either full partition or partial file backups of almost any computer or server via any standard web browser. Using this interface, the product provides access anytime and anywhere there is an Internet connection, allowing users to instantly return their computers and their businesses to full operating condition should a system suffer a logical or physical failure. In addition to the backup features, the introduction of a search engine to find files and folders within the backup are unique.

Building on an existing OEM relationship, Acronis and New Mexico Software now offer customers the ability to host their data in one of two offsite locations to provide continual physical, network and electronic security. With advanced indexing features, a specific record can be recovered simply by typing in words, dates, or other data into the TORC search engine.

Dr. Daniel DeFazio, DDS, PC, a dental professionals testing the beta system in Albuquerque, NM, said, "Previously, I had to back up my critical computer files to disk and then to a portable external hard drive. Both methods required a lot of time and proved to be unreliable. I even had a failure of one of my portable external hard drives. I used to spend 45 minutes to an hour waiting in my office after hours for each of these backup methods to complete.

"With the TORC online backup system it's no fuss - no muss," he added. "I simply press a couple of computer keys and TORC takes care of the rest for me. I am no longer tied to my computer after hours performing a backup. I start the program and I can leave. It's that reliable. I'll never use any other backup method or system again. I simply love it."

"Most of us safeguard our physical possessions: money, jewelry, and personal documents such as a birth certificates or social security cards," said Richard Govatski, CEO and president of New Mexico Software. "The same type of security is necessary for the information that resides on your PC. We are excited to extend our partnership with Acronis to deliver an easy and cost-effective solution for everyone, not just enterprises with full IT staff and support."

"New Mexico Software has demonstrated another outstanding use for Acronis True Image," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "Imaging over the Internet provides corporate users with another excellent way of protecting their data. Having local and remote copies of your system images provide an increased assurance that when a system fails - and make no mistake, systems do fail - you will have a backup image that can be restored very quickly."
