ACRONIS PARTNERS WITH F1 IN SCHOOLS FOR WORLD FINALS 2018

Acronis, a global leader of cyber protection and hybrid cloud solutions, has partnered with F1 in Schools for the 2018 World Finals of this global education programme.  

The F1 in Schools World Finals 2018, takes place this week at Resorts World Sentosa with 50 teams of talented students competing for the F1 in Schools World Champions 2018 title and with this, scholarships for City, University London and UCL Engineering, as well as a the F1 in Schools Formula 1 World Champions trophy

Acronis personnel will join the judging panel to assess the F1 in Schools World Finals teams’ work and present the one of the event’s category awards, the Enterprise Portfolio Award. The winners of the award will be treated to a visit to the Company’s International headquarters in Singapore ahead of this weekend’s Formula 1 Grand Prix. 

Acronis was founded in Singapore and is currently celebrating its 15-year anniversary. Acronis research and development centre, based in Singapore, develops artificial-intelligence andblockchain-based technology that is part of the cyber protection solutions used by motorsport teams.

Acronis cyber protectionsolutions are widely usedby a number of teams in Formula 1, Formula E, and other motorsport series. Acronis addresses the five vectors of cyber protection — safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security (SAPAS) — through its easy, efficient, and secure products that are prefect for motorsport teams of any size. 

Acronis is also involved in education through the Acronis Foundation. The non-profit organisation was established to support initiatives designed to stimulate education in developing countries.

The prestigious F1 in Schools programme runs in 45 countries and the competition challenges students to design, develop, manufacture and race a scale model Formula 1 race car.
