Purchasing a subscription

Acronis True Image is available only as a subscription. Purchasing a subscription gives you access to all features, updates, and technical support for the duration of your subscription period.

Acronis standard licensing policy is based on the number of computers on which Acronis True Image is installed. If multiple operating systems are installed on the computer, only one license is required.

You can purchase a subscription on the Acronis website or via the built-in store in the product interface.

To purchase a subscription via the built-in store

  1. Start Acronis True Image.
  2. On the sidebar, click Account, and then click Buy full version. The built-in store opens.
  3. Select the license that you want to buy, the number of devices you want to protect, and then click Buy now.
  4. Review your order, select additional services, if needed, provide your payment information, and then click Buy now.

To purchase a subscription on the website

  1. Go to https://acronis.com/#/products/
  2. Select Acronis True Image.
  3. Click Buy now to see the available subscription options.
  4. Select the subscription plan that fits your needs.
  5. Select the number of computers you want to protect.
  6. If you select an Advanced or Premium subscription, choose the amount of Acronis Cloud storage.
  7. Click Buy now.
  8. Provide your payment information and the email address where you want to receive the license details.
  9. Click Review and buy.

Activating a subscription

To use Acronis True Image, you must activate your serial number on each computer that you want to protect. Without an activated subscription, the product remains fully functional for 30 days in trial mode. If you do not activate it during that period, all features except recovery become unavailable.

The first time your computer is connected to the Internet and you log in to Acronis True Image with your login and password, the product will be activated automatically.

An internet connection is required to activate Acronis True Image subscriptions (Essentials, Advanced, and Premium editions).

To activate your subscription

  1. Open Acronis True Image.
  2. Enter the license key received on your email address when you bought your subscription.
  3. Click Activate.
An Acronis account is automatically created using the email that you specified during the purchase. If you used an existing account, the subscription will be registered there automatically.
