Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection, today announced the appointment of Kuninobu Kaki as General Manager of Acronis Japan. Kaki will lead the Tokyo-based team to drive growth in Japan by developing trusted relationships with local partners and promoting the world's most innovative cyber protection technology.
Acronis offers easy, efficient, and secure cyber protection solutions that address the Five Vectors of Cyber Protection - ensuring the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security of data (SAPAS). With Acronis, businesses can create reliable backups that are easily available, control who has visibility and access to their data, have undeniable proof of their data's authenticity, and protect their data, applications, and systems against cyberattacks with an integrated, artificial intelligence-based defense.
Kaki will assist Japanese partners and customers with technology selection, help service providers maximize the use of Acronis Cyber Cloud (formerly Acronis Data Cloud), promote the recently-announced Acronis Cyber Platform to the OEM and developers' community, and continue working with businesses and enterprises on optimizing their data management tasks. In the consumer space, Kaki will drive accelerated adoption of personal cyber protection solutions such as Acronis True Image.
Kaki has a deep understanding of the Japanese IT industry and established relationships with major local system integrators. He has a proven track record of working with channels to deliver significant growth. Prior to joining Acronis, Kaki was a Channel Sales Director with Box Japan, and was responsible for the whole Japanese channel operations for F5 Networks Japan. Kaki has also held the position of President at Clearswift and Director of Consumer Business at McAffee, where he consistently exceeded his set targets.
"Kaki brings strong leadership and a wealth of experience to our Japanese team. His market knowledge and understanding of Acronis technology is going to propel our business into the future. Under Kaki's management, we'll continue to build our team and extend our presence in the region," said Acronis Revenue Officer Pasha Ershow.
"I am excited to join such a vibrant cyber protection company and look forward to driving the growth in Japan. The Japanese market is ready for Acronis technology. We are going to continue building our brand by providing excellent service and fanatical support to our partners and customers," said Kaki.
