Widget settings
The following table lists the settings of the widget editor, by tab, in the order of the tabs.
| Tab | Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Configuration | Data source | The data that the widget shows. A widget uses one data source. See Data sources. |
| Configuration | Widget type | How the widget shows the data: Line Chart, Bar Chart, Pie Chart, Table, Kpi Card, Gauge, or Text. |
| Configuration | Size | The Width and the Height of the widget: Small, Medium, or Large. Resize a widget to fit its data. |
| Configuration | View raw data | Shows the table of the data source that the widget uses, to help you understand the data behind the widget. |
| Configuration | Text | For a Text widget, the subtype of the widget: Static text, which shows a text that you write, or AI prompt, which shows a text that Acronis AI generates. The server processes an AI prompt, and the widget shows the generated text. |
| Configuration | Summarise | For an AI prompt, what Acronis AI summarizes: Its own data source, This section, One widget (select one widget), A group of widgets (select one or more widgets from any section), or Sections (every widget in the sections that you select). |
| Configuration | Prompt | For an AI prompt, your own instructions that tell Acronis AI what to write. The prompt is optional, and it works with every option of Summarise. |
| Data | Filters | Limits the data of the widget to the values that you are interested in, for example, only the manufacturers that have a name. If a filter of the dashboard conflicts with a filter of the widget, the filter of the dashboard applies. |
| Data | Time range | Limits the widget to a period. |
| Data | Exclusions | Removes specific rows from the data of the widget. To apply an exclusion, click Exclude, and then click Done. To bring the rows back, click Undo exclusion, and then click Done. |
| Layout | Colors | The color of each slice or series, for example, to fit the look and feel of your company or of the company that you report to. |
| Layout | Sizing | For a pie chart, the thickness of the ring, the outer radius, and the padding angle between the slices. |
| Layout | Slices | Which slices the chart shows. Show or hide each slice. |
| Layout | Labels | Whether the labels show the value or the percentage. A percentage has no effect if the data is a plain count. |
| Layout | Number format | How the numbers are shown. By default, the widget shows plain numbers and does not detect units. For data such as the size of disks, select a format, such as gigabytes, to show the correct unit. |
| Layout | Tooltips | Whether a tooltip shows the value or the percentage. |
| Layout | Legend | The size of the font of the legend. Use a smaller font to fit more in the widget, and a larger font to make the legend easier to read. |
To make a table widget easier to read, remove the columns that you do not need.
