Creating custom fields for agent installation

The Acronis_install_agent script needs the Acronis datacenter URL and a registration token to install the Acronis agent and register the device with the correct customer tenant. As an alternative to a script parameter, you can create two global custom fields in NinjaOne. The integration then sets the values of these fields for each NinjaOne organization that is mapped to a Acronis customer tenant, and keeps them up to date.

You create these custom fields only once.

If these custom fields do not exist, you can still enter the datacenter URL and registration token as a script parameter. For more information, see Uploading integration scripts to NinjaOne.

To create custom fields for agent installation

  1. Sign in to NinjaOne.

  2. Navigate to Administration > Devices > Global Custom Fields.

  3. Create two organization custom fields with the following values:

    Label Name Field type
    Acronis URL acronisUrl URL
    Acronis Token acronisToken Secure

Enter the names exactly as shown. The script reads the custom fields by name.

  4. For both custom fields, configure the following settings:

    Setting Value
    Technician Read Only
    API Read/Write
    Inheritance Organization and device
    Custom Field is required Cleared

Ensure that the inheritance setting includes devices. Otherwise, the script cannot read the values of the custom fields, and the agent installation fails.

  5. Save the custom fields.
