Zebra Systems to localize all retail Acronis disk utilities for Czech market

Novices & experts alike get award-winning disk imaging, disk partitoining and multiboot utilities

April 7, 2003, South San Francisco, CA — Acronis, Inc., the technological leader in systems software development, announced that Zebra Systems, S.R.O., based in Ostrava-Poruba in the Czech Republic, will republish all of the retail Acronis disk utilities and localize them for the Czech market. The first product released in Czech is Acronis OS Selector 8.0, a multiboot manager that also has disk partitioning capabilities.

Among the other titles that Zebra Systems will be localizing for the Czech market are Acronis True Image 6.0, a disk imaging and back-up-and-restore program; Acronis PartitionExpert 2003, a disk partitioning utility; Acronis MigrateEasy 6.0, a program that lets users move deploy a new hard disk by moving all applications and data from one drive to another quickly and easily; Acronis PrivacyExpert 2003, a program that securely and completely deletes all traces of your Internet surfing and Windows system data pertaining to programs you've opened; and Acronis PowerUtilities 2003, a value suite of some of Acronis' most popular security tools, as well as several tools exclusive to this retail product.

"We selected Acronis as a partner because the product design is extraordinarily advanced and performance is superior to that of competitive products," said Zdenek Binek, CEO at Zebra Systems. "From an ease-of-use and functionality perspective, these are best-of-breed products that make it easy for even the non-technical, everyday PC user to use the same high-caliber disk utilities that once only a corporate IT department could afford to buy to protect their computers and user data.

"Our utilities significantly improve user productivity and provide them with real and tangible benefits at several levels," said Max Tsypliaev, president of Acronis, Inc. "First, our task-oriented wizards are easy to use and understand, so even average PC users can do tasks like create disk images and partition disk drives accurately and safely the first time they use the products. Also, we take advantage of the capabilities of Windows and don't force users to boot to DOS and face confusing and unfamiliar user interfaces. Finally, pricing is more aggressive, so users get more value and capabilities for less money," he added.
