Manpower Gets a Helping Hand from Acronis Snap Deploy

June 13, 2006, Burlington, MA — Acronis, Inc. (www.acronis.com/en-eu/), the technological leader in storage management software, announced that the Manpower Services offices in Calgary, Alberta, is standardizing on Acronis Snap Deploy as part of its program to train temporary employees.

Manpower Services, part of the worldwide Manpower Inc., is a world leader in the employment services industry. Manpower's global network of over 4,400 offices in 72 countries and territories allows the company to meet the needs of its clients in all industry segments, whether they are global, multi-national or local companies.

"Here in Alberta, we operate a six week training sessions for approximately 18 potential employees where we teach them to run various computer applications," said Mike Armstrong, IT Technician at Manpower. "At the end of the class, we have to restore each of the 18 computers back to a pristine condition so that the next class will be able to go through the training. Prior to using Acronis Snap Deploy, preparing each computer was a long, labor-intensive process that ran well into the night, impacting our IT department's productivity.

"Acronis allowed us to automate the multicasting of a new image to each machine so that now we can prepare for a new class in just a matter of minutes," he continued. "The time savings is significant and allows us to be far more productive. For a company that built its business on making our clients more productive, we see this as an ideal solution for IT managers who need to deploy images to multiple systems on a regular basis. Acronis has far exceeded our expectations."

"Anyone who has to deploy new computers on a regular basis knows the issues that such a task entails," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "Not only are there significant technical issues that must be addressed, but time commitments also can put a strain on a company's human IT assets. Acronis not only protects assets by protecting and securing corporate data, but it also allows companies to be more productive with their human assets.

"At Acronis, we consider it our responsibility to provide not only world-class disaster recovery and deployment tools, but also to add to our clients' bottom line by eliminating excessive expenses, reducing labor costs and making their operations more efficient. Manpower Services is a great example of how a company is doing just that — improving its bottom line by becoming more efficient and productive.
