Acronis Expands Scandinavian Operations

Company Opens Office In Sweden To Drive Sales of Corporate Backup And Recovery Solutions

Stockholm, Sweden – 20th August 2008 - Acronis, a storage management and disaster recovery software vendor, today announced the opening of its first office in Scandinavia in a move that marks the company's aggressive plans for growth in the region.

Having recently recruited Henrik Jalsborn as director of sales for Scandinavia, the vendor intends to substantially drive growth across the region in the coming year. Aimed primarily at SMBs, Acronis' software covers a broad range of solutions, stemming from backup and recovery technology which is capable of virtualisation, patch management and migration.

"There is already strong demand for our corporate Acronis True Image software in Scandinavia. Having a local presence will be critical in boosting sales, supporting the channel and providing the best service for our customers," explains Henrik Jalsborn, director of sales for Scandinavia.

"As a global provider of a proven technology, we intend to offer more choice of backup and recovery software to Scandinavian businesses. With a wealth of experience of catering for SMBs, we understand that they face the same challenges as large organisations, but are often more vulnerable to the repercussions of neglecting to implement a clear business continuity strategy," Jalsborn concluded.
