SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, July 2nd, 2013 - Acronis®, a leading provider of disaster recovery and data protection solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments, today announced that Acronis Backup & Recovery® was placed first in the 'product reliability' and 'initial product quality' categories in Storage magazine/SearchStorage.com's eighth annual Quality Awards, outperforming Veeam Backup & Replication™ in four out of five categories including 'technical support' and 'sales-force competence.' An impressive 89 percent of respondents stated they would purchase Acronis Backup & Recovery® again.

Storage magazine's Quality Awards recognize products in five main categories: sales-force competence, initial product quality, product features, product reliability and technical support. This year, a total of 243 respondents provided 541 backup and recovery software product evaluations, helping to identify the most credible products in the industry. In total, 37 products were rated on a scale of 1.00 to 8.00, with 8.00 being the best possible score. Acronis Backup and Recovery received scores of 6.44 and 6.64 in the 'product reliability' and 'initial product quality' categories, respectively.
