Kelly Johnson will
grow a channel-focused ecosystem delivering the most efficient cyber protection
solutions to Australian and New Zealand businesses.
SYDNEY, Australia — 21 February 2024 –
Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection, has appointed Kelly Johnson as
the new general manager for Australia and New Zealand. Johnson will lead the
channel-focused business, strengthening relationships with distributors and
supporting partners to meet the cybersecurity demands of modern businesses in
the region.
With the growing pressure on Australian businesses for
cybersecurity and the drive to comply with the Essential Eight maturity model,
many turn to Acronis. Acronis provides the fastest way to ensure compliance and
secure digital business. For companies already using the backup functionality of
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, activating security features is seamless — a
simple toggle of the button in the cloud console — without the need to install
additional software. And the Acronis cloud data centers in Australia and New
Zealand ensure full data protection compliance for local businesses.
"Acronis is going through a period of hypergrowth in
the region, driven by the rollout of AI-driven cybersecurity functionality
complementing traditional backup. Johnson's expertise in cybersecurity and
developing channel ecosystems underscores the significance we place on this
market. She has a proven track record of setting business direction and
achieving strategic goals," stated Pasha Ershow, Senior Vice President of
Sales and Global Channel for APJ and MEA at Acronis.
Johnson is a highly accomplished international IT Channel
expert with a remarkable track record of success in managing multifunctional
teams across regions. With over 30 years of industry experience, she held
multiple roles at Ingram Micro in five different countries, demonstrating a
passion for taking on new challenges and achieving exceptional results.
Recently, Johnson led the sales team at Arrow ECS ANZ, overseeing both field
and inside sales to drive sales through the channel. She has been a speaker at
several channel events and currently serves on the Executive Council at
CompTIA, as well as heading up the cybersecurity community for ANZ at CompTIA.
She also served as the country manager for Australia at ESET Digital Security,
where she was responsible for managing the overall operations of the business
and driving growth and brand awareness.
"I am very delighted to join Acronis during this time
of hypergrowth in the region. The demand for a cybersecurity solution that
covers all attack vectors and aids customers in ensuring security maturity in
an easy and efficient way is remarkable. Acronis provides one of the very
best solutions for Australian and New Zealand businesses, and I am eager
to work with our distributors, channel partners and service
providers to deliver it," said Kelly Johnson, General Manager of Acronis
ANZ.
