October 30, 2006, Singapore — Acronis Asia (www.acronis.com.sg), the technological leader in storage management software, announced that it has joined the VMware Technology Alliance Partner Program. The program allows Acronis to optimize its Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director products with VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3, virtual infrastructure software for partitioning, consolidating, deploying, backing up and managing servers in mission-critical environments.

"Enterprises large and small are turning to VMware's leading virtual infrastructure software for cost-effectively optimizing their IT infrastructure," said Zorian Rotenberg, director of business development at Acronis. "Acronis True Image gives VMware customers the ability to replicate virtual machines, and Acronis products are optimized for and support VMware's virtual infrastructure products. The partnership enhances the value proposition beyond server utilization and will offer VMware customers the benefits of advanced storage management and disaster recovery on physical and virtual machines."

The VMware Technology Alliance Partner program enables partners, regardless of specialty or size, to sell their solutions in a virtual environment by providing a comprehensive program with marketing and technical benefits.

Acronis True Image Server can perform physical-to-virtual, virtual-to-virtual, and virtual-to-physical server restoration. As a VMware technology partner, Acronis will further enhance the ability of its disk imaging and disk management products to work closely with VMware products.
