In our recent news digest, the Acronis TRU team shed light on the latest threats claiming victims worldwide. It’s evident that cybercriminals are getting more sophisticated, impersonating household brands such as Microsoft, DocuSign and PayPal, to expand the spread of attacks. They’re not only targeting organizations but the public too, and victims can be of any age.
In urgent need to educate the next generation about cyber safety, the Acronis Cyber Foundation Program is proud to announce the successful completion of our first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership project with Neoteck Services (formerly Neoteck Grup), a leading technology company in Romania.
Empowering young minds through teamwork and early education
The collaboration between the Acronis Cyber Foundation Program and Neoteck Services exemplifies the power of strategic partnerships in creating meaningful community impact. This milestone collaboration brought cyber safety education directly to 25 students at School 194 in Bucharest, Romania, marking a significant step forward in our mission to secure the future through education and community engagement.
Led by Mihai Cretu, Chief Technology Officer at Neoteck Services, and Silvia Filip, Europe End Customer Acquisition Manager, Acronis, the educational session focused on equipping students with essential digital literacy skills.
The initiative addressed a growing concern highlighted by Mihai Cretu: "We see that young people very often fall victim to internet scammers. Collaborating with Acronis gave me the opportunity to help bridge some of these gaps and truly understand the real needs of children in cyber safety education."

Lessons in comprehensive cyber safety
The educational session went far beyond traditional cyber safety warnings. Students were introduced to fundamental concepts including cyber hygiene, digital citizenship and practical strategies for recognizing and avoiding online threats. As cyber risks continue to evolve, children face increasing vulnerability to scams, phishing attacks and other digital dangers, making early intervention education more crucial than ever.
The program also opened students' eyes to exciting career possibilities in technology. Through engaging discussions about programming, cybersecurity, robotics and innovation, the session planted seeds of curiosity and ambition, helping students envision potential futures in the tech industry.
Building skills for tomorrow
Beyond cyber safety awareness, the collaboration emphasized personal development and future readiness. Students engaged in reflective activities that encouraged them to explore their interests and talents while learning how to present themselves with confidence and develop effective learning strategies.
The session reinforced that learning is a lifelong journey, empowering each student to continue building their abilities through curiosity, practice and collaboration. By combining cyber safety knowledge with meaningful conversations about skills and aspirations, the program offered more than information — it provided empowerment.
The “CSR in a Box” initiative
This successful partnership represents the inaugural project of our CSR in a Box Program, designed to help growing businesses share their success by making a positive impact in their communities. The program provides partners with free educational assets, training resources and comprehensive guidance to implement cybersecurity education initiatives in their local areas.
CSR in a Box focuses specifically on cyber hygiene, cyberbullying prevention and safe internet practices — critical skills for nurturing the digital leaders of tomorrow. The program offers budget-friendly solutions with lasting local impact, making it easy for companies to build brands that value social responsibility while strengthening community resilience.
Looking forward
The successful collaboration with Neoteck Services demonstrates the tremendous potential of corporate partnerships in addressing critical educational needs. By combining Acronis' expertise in cybersecurity with Neoteck's local presence and commitment to community engagement, we've created a replicable model for cyber safety education that can be scaled across communities worldwide.
This partnership reinforces our belief that protecting data extends far beyond technical solutions — it requires educating and empowering the next generation to navigate the digital world safely and confidently.
