German football club Schalke 04 replaces Veeam, prevents data loss with backupheld and Acronis

Schalke 04 is one of the most popular football clubs in Germany. When the Blue and White faced issues with data loss, the club turned to Acronis and managed service provider (MSP) backupheld.

Schalke replaced an inadequate storage solution from Veeam after losing data in OneDrive. The club now backs up all of its data with Acronis and backupheld.

• Schalke 04 has not experienced data loss since moving to Acronis.

• Schalke’s nine-person IT team no longer loses time managing backup and can focus on other critical activities instead.

• The club and MSP are looking to expand their partnership after having joined forces in November 2024.
