Installing Access Connect on a Cluster

Before installing Access Connect on a new cluster, you must have installed and configured the clustering service on your servers. On Windows 2003 Server (Enterprise, Storage Node Server, or Datacenter Edition) you will need to install and configure Microsoft Cluster Service. On Windows Server 2008 (Enterprise or Datacenter Edition), you will need to install and configure the Failover Clustering role. In addition, you need the following:

Note: If folders shared over SMB (for Windows clients) reside on the same physical disk as Access Connect shares, we recommend configuring DFS (Distributed File System) so that your Windows users can use one IP address or host name to access your shared volumes.
