Acronis True Image Products Receive IBM Serverproven Certification

November 11, 2006, Burlington, MA — Acronis Inc. (www.acronis.com), the technological leader in storage management software, announced that Acronis True Image software has received IBM ServerProven™ certification. The IBM ServerProven designation means that the Acronis solution has been successfully implemented, tested and validated by IBM in a real-world environment.

IBM ServerProven certification is intended for IBM customers to identify compatible, reliable solutions for their business-critical needs and IBM ServerProven solutions like Acronis True Image are evaluated for their compatibility with IBM eServers in a real-world customer production environment.

"With an average server lifespan of 18 months, organizations are constantly tasked to upgrade their hardware without jeopardizing the life's blood of their businesses, their data," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "When you consider the explosion in virtual servers and mobile employees, it's clear that what IT managers and systems integrators need is a server migration application that is not only fast and easy to use, but that also can meet migration challenges both on and off the data center floor."

"Acronis is very pleased to get the IBM ServerProven certification and is committed to continuing to develop high-performance solutions for IBM's broad range of x86 servers including IBM BladeCenter and IBM System X servers," said Zorian Rotenberg, director of business development of Acronis. "The IBM ServerProven certification ensures that Acronis True&nbsolImage will work on IBM servers, and IBM customers can count on Acronis for their critical data backup and recovery needs, whether it is for a small business or for a Fortune 500 company."

Solutions that are ServerProven represent applications that have been enabled for IBM Systems and have been verified through a customer experience to be installed and running in a customer location. To earn the IBM ServerProven certification, Acronis had to submit and verify evidence of its Acronis True Image product on one or more IBM Systems in a real-world customer environment. In this particular case, the IBM customer using Acronis software turned out to be one of IBM's own development labs.

As an IBM ServerProven product, Acronis True Image can help IBM customers lower their total acquisition costs through cost-saving rebates and special offers from IBM.
