Acronis True Image & Acronis Disk Director Software Eases Supportability of Wonderware Industrial Computers

Acronis Disk Imaging and Partitioning Products Enable Wonderware Industrial Tablet, Touch Panel Computer, and Box PC Users to Recover Software

BURLINGTON, MA., August 10, 2006 — Acronis, Inc., the technological leader in storage management software, today announced that Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys Systems, Inc. and the world's leading supplier of industrial automation and information software, has pre-installed two Acronis software products, Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director, into its line of Wonderware® Industrial Computers bundled with Wonderware software. The Wonderware line includes Industrial Tablets, Touch Panel Computers, and Box PCs that combine InTouch® human-machine interface (HMI) software, the world's leading HMI software for visualizing and controlling automation processes, with rugged hardware. By incorporating the Acronis recovery and disk partitioning products in these industrial computers, Wonderware is further enhancing the ease of maintaining its products by ensuring that customers can perform complete system restoration of the system to the state in which it was originally delivered, and allowing customers to modify the drive partitions to fit their specific needs.

Acronis True Image enables a full system restore, partial restore or restore of individual files and folders in minutes; Acronis Disk Director allows the user to create and manage partitions, restore lost or deleted partitions, and, in some cases, restore all of the data from those lost partitions.

"Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director are the perfect software enhancements to the Wonderware Industrial Computers, which are designed to provide customers with the highest level of operation and reliability on the factory floor," said Ann Ke, Wonderware's product marketing manager for Wonderware Industrial Computers.

"In an industrial environment, keeping the business up and running is everything. Wonderware's decision to integrate Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director into its Industrial Computers means that workers in the field or on the factory floor won't have to worry about extended periods of downtime," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "The Acronis recovery and disk partitioning technology ensure that Wonderware customers are back up and running with minimal disruption, regardless of whether the interruption was caused by a physical hardware failure or a logical software failure."

Wonderware Industrial Computers have achieved some of the most stringent certifications in the industry while providing unmatched durability, reliability and features. Increased speed, additional memory, hardened and ruggedized exteriors, and the latest in hardware and software technology enable superior performance with reliable service.
