Woburn, Mass., February 21, 2011 - Acronis, a leading provider of easy-to-use backup, recovery, and security solutions for physical, virtual, and cloud environments, today announced Ismail Azeri has been named a Channel Chief by the Everything Channel's CRN. Azeri joined Acronis in 2009 from VMware where he led the Corporate Business Development team which was responsible for acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships. Under his direction, Acronis' channel partner program has continued its growth and now includes more than 20,000 distributors, value-added resellers, retailers and original equipment manufacturers globally. In his role, Azeri is responsible for the Americas business broadly, including sales, channels and marketing. He is also responsible for corporate partnerships, acquisitions, the OEM business as well as playing an integral role in driving corporate strategy.

Acronis' partner program was also recognized for its innovation and leadership when Acronis CEO Jason Donahue was named to Everything Channel's "Top 100 Most Influential Executives." The program was also named a Gold 5-Star Overall Winner in Everything Channel's 2010 Partner Program Guide, for the second consecutive year.

"I'm honored to be recognized as a Channel Chief and look forward to expanding Acronis' channel program that delivers on our vision to provide simple and reliable backup and recovery solutions," said Ismail Azeri, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas & Business Development of Acronis, Inc. "Through our comprehensive product suite, we are committed to providing our partners with the best tools and resources needed for helping their customers build a simple and low-cost backup and disaster recovery plan that protects their critical data."

This year's Channel Chiefs were chosen based by Everything Channel editorial on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue their company generates through partners, their willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years they have dedicated to channel activities.

This year's Channel Chiefs offer tremendous insight into the who's who of the Channel," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel.
