BURLINGTON, MA - January 27, 2015- Acronis®, the world leader in new generation data protection, announces that Serg Bell, its CEO, has been awarded 'Entrepreneur 2014', according to Ernst and Young Russia. Serg Bell took first place among more than 60 top Russian entrepreneurs in the 'Software' nomination.
The 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award has been presented by Ernst and Young for the past 29 years across approximately 145 cities in 60 countries around the world. This year the Russian stage saw more than 60 owners and top managers of successful businesses from 16 regions of the country. According to the head of the CIS international program, Alexander Ivlev, this is a record number of participants. The organizing committee emphasized that all competitors this year were very strong entrepreneurs who have created prosperous businesses over the last few years.
"Acronis has always been a dynamic company. Last year we made major changes with new business processes and updates to both our partner strategy and geographical focus," said Serg Bell, Acronis CEO. "New innovative products were made available and we undertook a rebranding program, including product name changes and updates to pricing. For 2015 Serg Bell says, Acronis will continue to restructure its business to meet its customers' digital data needs. The company sees definite possibilities for growth through increased attention to data protection and the tendency for import replacement.
