Acronis named 2010 editors’ best and community choice award winner by windows it pro magazine

Acronis' Product Suite Wins 5 Awards including "Editors' Best" Solution for Backup and Recovery

Woburn, Mass., December 2, 2010 - Acronis®, a leading provider of easy-to-use backup, recovery, and security solutions for physical, virtual, and cloud environments, today announced that it has won five awards in the "2010 Editors' Best and Community Choice Awards" by Penton Media's Windows IT Pro® magazine.

Acronis Backup and Recovery 2010 was named as a Silver medal winner for both Editors' Best and Community Choice awards in the "Best Backup Software Product" category. Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 was also named the Silver medal winner for the Community Choice Award in the "Best High Availability/Disaster Recovery Product" category. In that same category, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 was also named the Bronze medal winner for the Editors' Choice award. The company's fifth award from Windows IT Pro is the Community Choice Award in which Acronis Disk Director® was named the Bronze medal winner for the "Best System Utility" category.

"Thousands of IT pros nominated and voted for their favorite products in our 2010 Community Choice Awards," said Jason Bovberg, senior editor at Windows IT Pro. "Our Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Magazine and DevProConnections communities showed unprecedented enthusiasm in their voting this year, calling out their favorite products based on top-tier performance and service. And with three separate surveys this year, each magazine offers a uniquely beneficial collection of top products for readers to consider in their environments."

"As always, we counted only those votes accompanied by a valid and unique email address, thereby preventing multiple entries per person. Our winners have earned a unique honor to stand out among their peers as winners of our Community Choice Awards."

Acronis' family of advanced, scalable backup, and security solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments helps enterprises safeguard their information and assures the availability, security, integrity and recoverability of their infrastructure. Its recently launched Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Online, based on the company's award-winning, patented disk imaging and bare metal restore technology, meets the needs of small, medium and larger organizations, by providing increased scalability, backup efficiency, and enhanced operations manageability - and offers the advantages of a secondary redundant data store without a substantial upfront investment. Acronis products, including Acronis® True Image™ Home 2011, are designed to make backing up and recovering files, folders, email, Windows® 7 libraries, or even a user's complete system easier than ever - so that users can quickly restore their full operating state prior to any failure - including the entire hard disk content comprising operating system, and important data, such as photos, videos, documents and applications.

"We are pleased to be recognized by Windows IT Pro editors and readers as one of the best solutions for backup and recovery, high availability and disaster recovery," said Lisa Robinson Schoeller, director of product marketing at Acronis.
