The Acronis Cyber Global Summit 2020 is quickly approaching. As the excitement builds for what is sure to be an informative and inspiring three days, we asked a few of the sports and cyber protection leaders who will be joining us what they’re most looking forward to this year, why they’re participating, and how Acronis cyber protection solutions have helped their organizations get through the pandemic successfully.

What are you most excited about at the Summit?

I’m really excited for this year’s Acronis Global Cyber Summit. In this day and age, cybersecurity and data protection are obviously major initiatives for all of us. I look forward to sharing our experiences, as well as how Acronis has been able to play a key role in making us stronger in these areas as we continue to grow and evolve in this ever-changing and fast-paced environment

It’s truly an honor to be a part of the event. But, I’m most looking forward to listening to other luminaries within the industry and learning new ways that we can improve and get stronger as we continue to maneuver through our constantly changing surroundings.

How have Acronis Cyber Protection Solutions helped you through the pandemic?

Strong cyber protection solutions have always been of vital importance, but with so much of our workforce working remotely and with the large amount of data being shared, protecting the integrity of our data is a key concern and has been of particular importance for our organization during the pandemic.

Knowing that secure, seamless, and reliable access to data is even more critical during a pandemic - with so many more people working remotely - Acronis Cyber Protection has provided us a unique peace of mind during this rapid transition that you might not normally have in such a time of great change.

How do you see cyber protection affecting the industry as it becomes more ubiquitous?

Over time our sport has evolved from guys under the cars with hammers and wrenches to an army of engineers operating in a sea of data and simulations. Because of this, our most valuable asset is our data and the protection of its integrity is key, especially in our rapidly moving and highly competitive environment where so many of our decisions are simulation-based through these various inputs of data.

Pax8 VP of Corporate Communications, Amanda Lee

What are you most excited about at the Summit? The strong partnership with Acronis has empowered Pax8 to deliver a unique embedded solution that is making it easy for our partners to scale their cyber protection practices. The Pax8 team is excited to be a part of delivering information about this integrated approach and the Acronis + Pax8 partnership to our partner community at our virtual booth and in various panels throughout the Summit.

How have Acronis Cyber Protection Solutions helped you through the pandemic?

Acronis’ robust cyber protection solutions enable our partners to continue protecting their clients' endpoints, even as they continue to increase. The technology helps consolidate the management of backup and security tools into a single user-friendly portal.

How do you see cyber protection affecting the industry as it becomes more ubiquitous?

CEOs in North America cited cybersecurity as their top concern in a PWC 2020 annual CEO survey. With the increase of sophisticated cyberattacks involving malware, phishing, artificial intelligence, and more, an organization’s data is constantly at risk. In addition, the industry is suffering from a shortage of cybersecurity talent, so the importance of automating cyber protection technologies is more important than ever.

How have Acronis Cyber Protection Solutions helped you through the pandemic?

Understandably this year there has been a huge shift from working in an office to working from home and with the addition of flexible working locations, it has been even more important than ever to make sure our data and devices are cyber secure. As a race team, we have huge amounts of data from every race and with a very intense season finale in Berlin in July, Acronis have played an invaluable role in protecting ROKiT Venturi Racing’s critical data and workloads both on and off the track.

Sherweb, Acronis partner at the #AcronisCyberSummit

Sherweb Product Marketing Manager for Office Protect, Henry Cheang

What are you most excited about at the Summit?

Being at the Summit represents the best opportunity for Sherweb to improve the ways we help our partners better protect their clients’ critical data.

How have Acronis Cyber Protection Solutions helped you through the pandemic?

This has been a golden opportunity for Sherweb’s Online Backup, powered by Acronis, to help partners and their clients transition from on-premises backup solutions to cloud backup. It gave peace of mind when most had to commit to remote work practices and do so securely.

How do you see cyber protection affecting the industry as it becomes more ubiquitous?

As cyberthreats spike dramatically, cyber protection’s expansive features will facilitate the adoption of a better mindset toward cybersecurity – that securing against threats is a multifaceted task requiring actions and policies on many fronts.
