Creating a user
Add a user account to a client or to your own company, and assign the roles that define what the user can do.
Prerequisites
-
If you want to assign a custom role, the role must exist. You create custom roles in Settings > Roles and permissions.
To create a user
-
Open the user list in one of the following ways:
-
For the users of a tenant: in Cyber Console, go to Clients, click the tenant name, and then click Users in the side navigation.
-
For the users of your own company: in Cyber Console, go to My company > Users.
-
-
Click Create user.
The user creation page opens as a full page. The page title names the tenant in which you create the user.
-
In General information, in Email, enter the email address of the user.
If you create the user in a partner or folder tenant, also enter First name and Last name. They are required there.
If the login belongs to another user, the message This login is already in use. appears under the field that holds the login.
-
Enable Use login that is different from email, and then enter the login in Login.
By default, the login is the email address. You cannot change the login after you create the user.
-
In Roles, assign the roles in one of the following ways:
-
On the Built-in roles tab, enable Company administrator, or select a role for each service. To give the user no role for a service, select No access.
-
On the Custom roles tab, select one custom role.
Roles for services that are not available to the tenant do not appear. You must assign at least one role.
-
-
Click Create.
To cancel the user creation, click Cancel instead. If you entered data, the Discard changes dialog opens. Click Confirm to discard the data, or Go back to continue.
-
If an error message appears, refresh the page, and then create the user again. If the error appears again, contact the Support team.
The user appears in the user list, and Cyber Console sends an activation email to the user.
If your role allows only read access, you cannot create users.
