Settings

Settings gathers the configuration of your tenant and of the services that you manage in one section, so that you can find and change a setting without switching consoles.

In Cyber Console, the settings are under Settings in the navigation menu.

Your tenant and your clients

The Locations and Email Notifications screens have no tenant selector. The Email Notifications screen lists the email notification rules of your whole tenant hierarchy.

On the Security, API clients, and Agent updates screens, you can configure a client by selecting it in the tenant selector. The Agent updates screen has a tenant selector only when your tenant has child tenants.

A screen that has a tenant selector opens on your own tenant, with its values loaded. When you select another tenant, the screen shows the settings of that tenant, and each change applies only to that tenant. A tenant that you selected elsewhere in Cyber Console, or on an earlier visit, is not carried over. To apply the same configuration to several customers, you repeat the configuration for each customer.

On the Agent updates screen, the settings of your own tenant are the default settings of your customers. See Agent updates.

Configuration that is not in Cyber Console yet stays in Management Portal or in the Protection console.

Some actions are not available in this release. The Limited functionality message on the settings screens links to Management Portal, where you can run them.

This functionality is planned, but it is not available in the product yet.

The settings that you configure for one customer at a time, such as default backup options and immutable storage, are in the Protection group.

On the Email Notifications screen, you can narrow the rule list to the rules of one customer.

Opening Settings

Each settings screen has its own link, so that you can open a screen directly from another place. If the screen does not exist or is unavailable to your user account, Page not found appears. If a screen does not load, Page failed to load appears. Retry loads the screen again.

If no section of Cyber Console is available to your user account, No sections available appears instead of a screen.

Scope by role

As a partner administrator, you see the screens that configure your partner tenant and the screens that configure the services of your customers. Some screens check your role. If your role does not allow you to change the settings on such a screen, the controls that change them are disabled or hidden.

You see only the settings screens that your role allows. If your role does not allow access to Management Portal, you do not see the Locations, Agent updates, Security, and API clients screens. If your role does not allow access to the Cyber Protection console, you do not see the Email Notifications screen. A group in which you cannot see any screen is omitted.

This functionality is planned, but it is not available in the product yet.

As a customer administrator, you see a narrower set of settings. The screens that configure a partner tenant are absent.

Each user account sees only the settings screens that apply to it. Cyber Console also filters the screens by the following:

  • Tenant scope. When you work in a customer tenant, the partner-level screens are absent.

  • Service enablement. As a partner administrator, you see the screen of a service when at least one customer in your tenant hierarchy has the service enabled. As a customer administrator, you see it when your tenant has the service enabled.
