Protection
Policies in Protection gathers the protection policies of your tenant hierarchy in one list. You can find and manage all policies from this list.
In Cyber Console, the policy list is on the All policies page, under Protection > Policies > All policies. A policy is a set of configurations and rules that you apply to one or more assets. In this release, the list shows only protection policies. Policy templates do not appear in the policy list. See Policy types.
You can open the details page of a policy directly from other screens in Cyber Console.
Some actions are not available in this release. The Limited functionality message on the All policies page and on the policy details page links to the Cyber Protection console, where you can run them.
Scope by role
To see All policies, your role must allow access to the Cyber Protection console.
As a partner administrator, you see the policies of your own tenant and of all your child tenants, such as customers and units, in one list.
As a customer administrator, you see the policies of your own tenant and its units. You also see the policies that a parent tenant owns and that are applied to assets in your tenant. You can open and export such a policy, but you cannot change it.
The tenant selector opens on All clients, which shows the policies of every client in your scope. When you select a client in the tenant selector, the list shows only the policies of that client and its child tenants.
Your role decides what you can change:
-
If your role grants full access to policies, you can change policies and run actions on them.
-
If you have read-only access, you can open the list, select a client, search, filter, switch views, show or hide columns, and export policies. You cannot run actions that change a policy.
What you can do in Protection
You can do any of the following:
-
Narrow the list to one client, and find policies by search, filters, and views. See Narrowing the policy list to a client, Searching for a policy, Filtering the policy list, and Policy list views.
-
Open a policy to review its configuration, its assets, the compatibility issues of its assets, its activities, and its alerts. See Policy details.
-
Enable or disable a policy. See Policy actions, Disabling a policy, and Enabling a policy.
-
Export a policy to a JSON file. See Exporting a policy.
-
Run an action on several policies at once. See Running an action on multiple policies.
