Navigating the tenant hierarchy

Move to another tenant in the hierarchy, so that the client list, search, and actions apply to that tenant and its child tenants.

The tenant selector is the first control in the toolbar above the client list. The tenant that is selected in the tenant selector is the current tenant. The tenant selector lists the tenants that your read permissions allow you to see.

The status of a tenant limits what you can do:

  • Deleted tenants appear only in the client list. They do not appear in the tenant selector, and you cannot open their details.

  • Tenants with the Disabled status stay in the client list. The status limits the actions that you can perform.

  • If a tenant is in the Self-service management mode, you cannot view its details or its child tenants.

To move to a tenant in the hierarchy

  1. In Cyber Console, go to Clients.

  2. Click the tenant selector.

    The tenant selector shows the Recents and Browse sections.

  3. Find the tenant in one of the following ways:

    • To browse, in Browse, expand the parent tenants until you see the tenant that you need. A customer expands to its units. The child tenants load when you expand a tenant. If a tenant has many child tenants, click Load more to see the next ones.

    • To search, enter the name of the tenant in the Search by name box. If no tenant matches, the tenant selector shows No matching tenants.

    • To move up the hierarchy, in Browse, find a tenant above the current tenant.

  4. Select the tenant.

  5. If Access restricted appears instead of the client list, click Back to all tenants to return to the top of your hierarchy.

The client list shows the child tenants of the selected tenant. If a customer or a unit has no units, the list shows No units yet. If another tenant has no child tenants, the list shows No clients yet.

If the tenant is in the Self-service management mode, Access restricted appears instead of the client list.

If you refresh the browser page, the client list returns to the top of your hierarchy.

To return to a recently visited tenant

  1. In Cyber Console, go to Clients.

  2. Click the tenant selector.

  3. In Recents, select the tenant.

    Recents shows up to five tenants that you visited and then left. If you refresh the browser page, Recents is cleared.

The client list shows the child tenants of the selected tenant.
