Trigger parameters

Trigger parameters are optional filters which are evaluated before the workflow starts. If an incoming event does not match the parameter values, the workflow is skipped.

For example, for the Alert created trigger, you can select one or more alert types, so that the workflow only runs for those specific alert types.

If no trigger parameters are configured, the workflow runs for all matching events.

Not all triggers support parameters. The following triggers support trigger parameters.

• Alert created – Supports the Alert type parameter, which filters workflow execution to only the selected alert types.
• Task completed – Supports the Task type parameter, which filters workflow execution to only the selected task types.
