Agriculture equipment manufacturer AGCO hit by ransomware

Global agricultural equipment company AGCO, creator of Fendt tractors and other popular tools, has been knocked offline by a ransomware attack.

ACGO is still investigating the extent of the attack, but was forced to temporarily shut down some of their production in Germany and France, sending workers home. The company has not yet disclosed which ransomware family was responsible, nor how they were breached. AGCO reported a revenue of $9 billion dollars last year and employs 21,000 people globally.

The Active Protection included in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud detects and blocks even never-before-seen ransomware threats, while the backups and disaster recovery capabilities ensure quick remediation of any potential business interruptions.
