Disabling a policy
Pause a policy on all of its assets. To resume the policy later, enable it. See Enabling a policy.
Prerequisites
-
The policy is applied to at least one asset. Cyber Console offers Disable when the policy is enabled on at least one of its assets.
-
Your tenant or one of its child tenants owns the policy. For a policy that a parent tenant owns, the row menu offers only Export.
-
Your role allows you to manage policies of the types that you work with. See Protection.
-
Two-factor authentication is enabled for your user account. If it is not enabled, a dialog asks you to enable it, and the action does not run.
To disable a policy
-
In Cyber Console, go to Protection > Policies > All policies.
-
In the row of the policy, open the row menu, and then click Disable.
The Disable policy dialog opens. The dialog states that the policy is disabled for all assets.
-
Click Disable.
The policy no longer acts on its assets, and a message confirms that the policy is disabled. A disabled policy keeps its configuration and its assets.
You can also disable a policy on the policy details page, under the policy name.
To disable several policies at once, see Running an action on multiple policies.
