Running an action on multiple policies

Enable or disable several policies at once, including policies of different types.

Prerequisites

  • Your role allows you to manage policies of the types that you work with. See Protection.

  • Two-factor authentication is enabled for your user account. If it is not enabled, a dialog asks you to enable it, and the action does not run.

To run an action on multiple policies

  1. In Cyber Console, go to Protection > Policies > All policies.

  2. Select the checkboxes of the policies. To select all policies, select the checkbox in the header of the list.

  3. On the actions ribbon, do one of the following:

    • To enable the policies, click Enable.

    • To disable the policies, click Disable. The Disable policy dialog opens. The dialog states that the policies are disabled for all assets. Click Disable.

An action runs only on the selected policies that it applies to, and Cyber Console skips the others. If the action applies to none of the selected policies, its button is unavailable, and its tooltip says None of the selected policies are applicable for this action.

Enable runs without confirmation, and a message confirms that the policies are enabled. After you disable the policies, a message confirms that the policies are disabled. Cyber Console reports the policies that it disabled and the policies that failed in separate messages. If the action fails, a message names the policies and asks you to try again.

You can export only one policy at a time. To export a policy, see Exporting a policy.

For the conditions of each action, see Policy actions.
