So, nScaled has been acquired by Acronis, the backup company. I am sure you know that already (and if you don’t just check our page!) Great synergy together – after all, backup is key part of DR. We’ve been busy, meeting and understanding the new organization, building the roadmap and integrating the technology, studying each other’s sales and marketing, and doing everything else companies do when they merge (kind of like people, minus sales and marketing). And sometimes, with all this routine work, the most amazing things can be lost or go un-noticed… But not today.
A spontaneous email from one of our technical services guys caught my eye… forwarding a message from a customer, someone we have just “on-boarded”. The kind of a message that every marketing person would dream of, and analysts would kill for… and here it comes, unsolicited and very real, straight from the field, not touched by HR or PR, from someone who has just had a first-hand experience with nScaled and wanted to share it with us. This is more real than many “official” customer testimonies. So here it goes (no changes to the original):
“Thank you for all of your help and excellent training. I am now very comfortable with the product and will be training our outside help desk firm on file recovery and server activation. I am thoroughly impressed with the entire solution and feel very good about our decision to choose nScaled. Once the data is fully replicated, I know our management team will be relieved that we have our server infrastructure available in the cloud, if we ever need it.”
This is when you feel that all the efforts, all the strategies and tactics, long hours, brainstorming sessions, research, etc… have paid off. For a vendor who is so much end-user-focused, and who is so invested in success of our customers because we know they rely on it to stay in business – there is no better appreciation.
