Acronis ranked higher than Google, Apple and Dropbox

MUNICH, GERMANY, 22nd April, 2014 - Acronis, a global provider of new generation data protection solutions, is named a mobile enterprise leader by Experton in their 2014 Mobile Enterprise Vendor Benchmark (MEVB) Study. Experton is one of Germany's leading technology research and advisory firms.

Acronis was placed as a top vendor in the leader quadrant, leaving competitors like Google, Apple and Dropbox behind. In this years' Experton MEVB study, 20 of the leading mobile solutions providers were benchmarked in the "Mobile Information Management Software and File sharing" category.

A key criterion that lead to Acronis Access' leadership rating is the capability to be deployed both as a cloud-based and an on-premise solution. Also important was the ability to safely access, save and reuse documents across different operating systems.

This is the second award that Acronis Access has won in 2014 for its mobile content management (MCM) and enterprise file sharing and syncing; Networking Computing Magazine recognised Acronis' Access as the 'mobility product of the year' in its annual awards in March.

"Businesses are looking to maximise data protection as well as employee productivity. Acronis offers the first solution to turn any mobile device into a true business platform by integrating both mobile content management (MCM) and enterprise file sync and sharing. We are pleased to be recognised for a second time this year as a leader in the mobile market, especially above legacy vendors. " said Alan Laing, Vice President EMEA.

Acronis Access is a unified Enterprise class solution to access corporate content, sync, and share and access business user files from anywhere and any device. It combines the ease of use of consumer solutions with the security, management, deployment and storage options required by the Enterprise IT community.

"Acronis spotted an opportunity in the mobile market in 2012 and by acquiring GroupLogic has been able to develop solutions for this market that have proved successful in a short space of time. From a user perspective, having a product that can be used across physical, virtual and cloud provides a vast list of benefits. Being the expert in backup and recovery solutions it's pleasing to see that the Acronis has formulated a successful solution for mobile information management that helps the customer to succeed in mobile challenges. Acronis is perfectly positioned here," said Wolfgang Schwab, Manager Advisor & Program Manager Efficient Infrastructure, at Experton.
