Acronis Joins HP BladeSystem Solution Builder Program

April 25, 2007, Paris, France - Acronis Inc. (www.acronis.com/en-eu/), a leading provider of storage management software, announced today that it joined the HP BladeSystem Solution Builder Program. Acronis True Image Enterprise Server helps ensure the availability of data for HP BladeSystem customers and is recognized as the leading commercial disk-imaging backup and bare-metal restore solution for blade-based servers. It can perform sector-based imaging as well as file and folder backups of entire physical and virtual servers.

"Membership in the HP BladeSystem Solution Builder Program further recognizes Acronis True Image's growing popularity in enterprise environments," said Zorian Rotenberg, director of business development for Acronis. "HP BladeSystem customers can take advantage of the Acronis True Image management components to better organize their disaster recovery plans and ensure that their BladeSystem architectures are up and running in minutes, not hours or days, if a systems failure occurs."

"Blade servers have become an important asset to data center managers who are virtualizing their servers," said Walter Scott, Acronis CEO. "With Acronis True Image Enterprise Server and Acronis Universal Restore, they can easily move servers from one hardware platform to another, be it physical or virtual. Using blade servers as part of an overall virtualization strategy not only makes good business sense, but it also opens up a variety of options for backup and disaster recovery as well."

"Data recovery and backup is a key focus for our customers today as they look to maximize their IT investments and reduce data center complexity while keeping capital and operating costs in check," said Michael Kendall, marketing manager, BladeSystem Division, HP. "HP is pleased to have Acronis join the Solution Builder community and have its enterprise-class data recovery and backup solutions available for HP BladeSystem customers."

Acronis True Image Enterprise Server includes a number of components that offer great flexibility for corporate IT departments, including the Management Console, Backup Server, and Group Server. These components provide for the complete management of all backup and restoration tasks including product installation, backup, recovery, optimization of storage resources, and a view of the status of remote systems throughout the network and increase the IT department's productivity while reducing costs.

The HP BladeSystem Solution Builder Program is a global community of more than 260 technology and service delivery providers who collaborate with HP and one another to define, develop, deliver and deploy customer solutions built for HP BladeSystems.
