The malware group previously known for pushing TeamTNT malware now has a new campaign, dubbed Chimaera, which has been attacking multiple operating systems indiscriminately.
Aiming to steal login credentials, TeamTNT has added a number of tools to their arsenal, including shell scripts, a cryptominer, IRC, and open-source software. They've been attacking Windows systems as well as those running multiple Linux distributions. AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes are targets as well, and the group has been observed striking at macOS systems in the past. More than 5,000 infections globally are attributed to TeamTNT.
The advanced behavioral detection capabilities in Acronis Cyber Protect already identify and block TeamTNT's newest malware, keeping your credentials, data, and systems safe.
