Acronis, Inc.'s Stephen Lawton Returns to the Radio to Discuss Restoration

Lawton to Make Return Appearance on Nationally Syndicated "Let's Talk Computers" Radio Program to Discuss Restore Versus Backup.

July 24, 2006, Burlington, MA — Acronis, Inc. (www.acronis.com/en-eu/), the technological leader in storage management software, today announced that Director of Marketing Stephen Lawton will return as a featured guest on Let's Talk Computers, one of the longest running radio computer talk shows in the country, on July 15th.

Lawton, a knowledgeable expert and industry veteran, will discuss the importance of restoring different types of hardware as opposed to simply backing them up. Lawton and host Alan Ashendorf spoke about backup issues and the fast, efficient and cost-effective Acronis True Image solution during the July 1st show, but Ashendorf was left wanting to know more about restore issues. "Backup has been around for a very long time, and is not new," said Lawton "What's critical today is the recovery, and I think that at some point every IT manager out there will sigh and say, "Ah, yes, I had a backup and I couldn't recover it"."

However, backup is still an important issue, as was covered in the July 1st conversation on backup strategy. Lawton went into detail on how Acronis "backs up and supports every version of Windows, starting with Windows 98, and virtually every Linux distribution out there." Ashendorf was impressed with the reporting features, security and ease of use in the Acronis True Image solution, and ended the program saying "we just touched a little bit on the restore feature, which I think is probably more important than the backup, especially when you're trying to restore to different types of hardware." On July 15th the Let's Talk Computers audience will hear the extension of this important conversation.

About Acronis True Image

With Acronis True Image, complete system restoration can be performed to an existing system, to a new system with different hardware or to a virtual machine. By taking a snapshot of the disk sectors of a running server or workstation, then storing that snapshot to a network share, external drive or even the Acronis Secure Zone, Acronis True Image lets users or IT managers recover data, be it an individual file or an entire hard disk, in minutes instead of hours or days.
