Technology Industry Veteran Brings Extensive Sales Experience to Storage and Disaster Recovery Software Leader
Burlington, Mass., November 10, 2009 - Acronis, Inc. (http://www.acronis.com), a provider of affordable, scalable storage management and disaster recovery software, has hired Ed Filippine as General Manager of the Americas.
Building on its strong third quarter highly successful consumer (Acronis True Image Home 2010) and enterprise (Acronis Backup & Recovery 10) product launches, Acronis added Filippine to oversee sales in North and South America. Filippine will report to Chief Operating Officer Helmut Heptner.

Prior to Acronis, Filippine was Vice President, Americas Inside Sales Division at EMC Corp. He also served as a regional manager at WorldCom and the national director/sales & operations for Boston Telecommunications Co.
