5nine Software, Inc. was acquired by Acronis in December 2019. All your favorite 5nine software products are still available and, other than having been rebranded, remain the same. If you’ve been using (or selling) 5nine Cloud Manager, 5nine Cloud Migration, or 5nine Cloud Security – for Hyper-V and for Azure – your software continues to be supported and your existing licenses are still valid. The only changes are that 5nine Cloud Manager Free is now found on the Acronis Cloud Manager free trial page, and instead of contacting 5nine Support when you need assistance you’ll contact Acronis Support. Unfortunately, if you had a 5nine login, you will need to create a new Acronis account, but the process is quick and easy.
We’re very happy to have 5nine employees join our teams, and to add the 5nine cybersecurity and management tools to the Acronis ecosystem of cyber protection solutions. The teams that designed and developed the 5nine products are still working on improvements, new features, and future versions for those products.
A Perfect Fit
Why did Acronis acquire 5nine? The answer is simple – their portfolio of offerings and company vision matched Acronis’ own.
Acronis is a global leader in cyber protection. 5nine’s solutions are the best tools for securing Microsoft Cloud, and 5nine has the only Microsoft Cloud management platform that enables monitoring and management for both on-premises Hyper-V clusters and Azure instances from a single console. Both companies share the same drive to create easy-to-use products for providing complete cyber protection solutions regardless of deployment: on-premises, cloud, or hybrid models.
The 5nine product portfolio’s ability to unify cloud migration, monitoring, and management enables customers and service providers to cover all Five Vectors of Cyber Protection, ensuring the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security (SAPAS) of their data, applications, and systems.
For more details on why 5nine is such a perfect fit for Acronis, you need only take a closer look at their products, listed below with their new names.
