SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, 31 July 2018 - Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection and hybrid cloud storage currently celebrating its 15-year anniversary, today announced that it has expanded its research and development operations in Europe through the strategic acquisition of software engineering company T-Soft. The acquisition is the result of a successful partnership between the two companies. T-Soft has been providing Acronis with exceptional software development services since 2012, enhancing the quality of Acronis' products and augmenting the effectiveness of Acronis' engineering teams.
"We have some of the best and brightest software engineers in Bulgaria, performing at the highest standards. We're proud to join the Acronis team and continue our work as part of the world's leading cyber protection corporation," said Plamen Toshev, Managing Director, Acronis Bulgaria.

Acronis plans to expand the existing team to 300 engineers, investing $50 million over the next three years to establish a key R&D center in Europe that is fully focused on cyber protection. The new technology developed in Sofia will advance Acronis' innovative solutions to provide easy, efficient, and secure protection for all data, applications and system. T-Soft has contributed greatly to the development of Acronis' file sync and share technologies, and now Acronis Bulgaria will continue developing this product line. There are also plans to build web and quality assurance teams in Bulgaria.
Acronis values its employees and puts constant attention into the well-being of the team by guaranteeing a great working environment, future career development opportunities, and an attractive social policy.
