Acronis Appoints GM for North America, Eyeing Expansive Growth

Patrick Hurley Translates Extensive Sales Experience Into Fast-Paced Success

Woburn, MA, May, 30, 2014-Acronis®, the global leader in new generation data protection, announced today that Patrick Hurley has been appointed as its new general manager for North America. Patrick enters the role with an exemplary record in sales for data protection, and will drive aggressive growth of the company's recently announced Acronis AnyData Engine.

Patrick now oversees all of Acronis' operations in North America, but he has been an integral member of Acronis' team since 2008. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Director of Sales where he built and scaled the inside sales model in the US. During this time, he increased profitability margins at the individual contributor level by increasing the average sales price and lowering cost per sale.

He also has developed a strong understanding of many verticals as he managed SMB, Enterprise, Federal, SLED and Latin American business verticals at Acronis. In 2011, he closed the largest opportunity globally for the company and accounted for the most transactions in the US over $20,000. He also led his team to 204% Virtual product growth in the Federal government vertical YTD.

"Patrick has exemplified an exhaustive knowledge of many verticals within North America, and an uncanny ability to motivate sales teams for explosive growth," said Laurent Dedenis, Acronis President of International Sales. "As I move to Singapore to oversee the International Headquarters, I am completely confident in Patrick's ability to drive growth and place Acronis as the leader in data protection within North America."

"I am excited to lead the North American organization into a new generation of growth," said Pat Hurley, Acronis GM for North America. "Acronis has paired best-in-class software with a best-in-class team of talented professionals. We are working at a fast pace here at Acronis right now as we address a new generation of IT challenges head on with our AnyData technology. But with our team and well positioned solutions for virtualization, mobility and cloud, I look forward to our future success."

Acronis recently announced a number of top executive appointments, including the addition of its new President of Global Operations Yury Lurichev and the appointment of Laurent Dedenis to President of International Sales. The complete configuration of Acronis' team will ensure it is able to attain its ambitious sales goals of $1 billion in revenues for its Acronis AnyData Engine.
